Stopped in on a Sunday about 1:30 and ordered Half a pound of brisket, two house blend sausages, coleslaw, and birria beans and a Dr Pepper Togo for myself. The brisket was good and sausages were ok, the coleslaw tasted like seaweed salad (a plus if you prefer that. I like more traditional coleslaw), and the birria beans were way too salty for my taste. To top it off, they literally put an entire loaf of bread in with my food as if I need that much bread. Quite wasteful and I’m only guessing it’s so they didn’t have to deal with it at the end of the day. Cannot say I enjoyed the experience.

One of my favorite places to get delicious sliced brisket and BBQ sandwiches. I've been eating here for years and the brisket has always been consistently delicious. We usually order moist brisket with added burnt ends. The mac and cheese is a must order! Louie's makes one of the best mac and cheese around! Instagram: food_and_travel0

Was on the way back from San Marcos and decided to stop at a a place a little off the beaten path as far as BBQ goes. I voluntarily drove past Lockhart and all time great like Blacks, Kreuz, etc. to get here, and I'm happy to say that I was not let down. Their prices are in line with other places serving up similar quality BBQ and the service was great. I ordered moist brisket, a link of sausage, charro beans and mac & cheese. The brisket stands toe to toe with any brisket I've had. It was much better than the last two times I've been to Snow's. The sausage was great as well. You could tell a lot of care went into making it and the flavor was spot on. The beans were tasty with the right texture, but not a stand out but I loved the mac & cheese, it was thick and creamy with a great queso blanco cheese sauce. Pickles and pickled onions were good, though the onions could use a little more bite, and while the sauce may not be for everyone I liked it being decidedly different than most other places. It has a good vinegar level, but a well balanced smooth sweetness to it as well. Everything was so good that after I was done with lunch I decided to order ribs to go for dinner. It's a bit of a drive for me to make a trip just for it, but you can guarantee any time I'm driving past Buda I'm going to stop at this gem.

Louie's Craft BBQ was recommended by a friend who STRONGLY urged (read: practically begged) me not to mention it to anyone else, to "keep the secret" as it were. Following up on such a recommendation thus became imperative, and on taking my first bite of Louie's brisket I fully understood (and yet, I feel compelled to praise the place all the same, hypocrisy thy be human). On my visit I very much enjoyed 1/4 pound of the aforementioned brisket, a remarkable pulled pork taco, and a "Texas-size" limeade. A brilliant light linch (for barbecue) that came in at under $20...and that included the crazy-delicious chicken wing taste that was generously offered gratis at precisely the right moment. Never to be forgotten.

Drove from out of state to visit family in Texas. Made a stop to Louie’s off Main St. Cool little vibe to sit and eat, service is good. The Mac n cheese is good and creamy, brisket is on point, the rice is not too bad I’m just a little picky. What I truly enjoyed was the chopped brisket taco. It was light, nice balance with the pickled onions, cilantro, cotija cheese and complimented with the jalapeño creamy sauce.

This is a good bbq restaurant. Great menu, fast service and the smell of the food is nice. We liked all food that we ordered today. Very large portions and the taste of the meat is excellent. The bun in the brisket sandwich is soft and very fragrant. There was one thing that we didn't like. They sell brisket by the 1/2 lb, but you can ask for 1/3 or 1/4 lb - price though won’t be fair (1/2 lb - $12, 1/3 - $11).

I would absolutely recommend this place!! The pork ribs and the brisket were delicious: the seasoning, taste and texture were spot on! The sides were also very tasty! The seating area is very pleasant and the service was great! It really shows how the team cares about the food being put out! Had an amazing experience here and will come back for more!

The last two times I’ve been here, it hasn’t been good. I got a brisket bowl. It was more of a rice and corn bowl. The corn was over cooked, therefore, chewy. The rice and corn were really salty. There were no charro beans. If they ran out, they could have informed me. The food in the bowl was cold, including the brisket. When I checked out, the cashier read me a total with a tip included rather than reading the total of the food ordered and giving me the option to tip, and of course I would have and I did. Not cool.
